About Us

Interwest Construction, Inc. (ICI) was founded in 1988, in Edmonds, Washington. Since then, ICI has become an industry leader in underground utilities, total site development, environmental cleanups, heavy highway construction and repair throughout western Washington State, including the Counties of Skagit, Snohomish, King, Whatcom and Island.

ICI began as an excavation subcontractor for Nardone Mechanical Contractors of Edmonds, Washington, and is the preferred utility contractor for the Boeing Company in Everett, Washington. Eben Twaddle, founder of ICI, using an old Ford Dump Truck and aged Kobleco 904 Excavator, while relying upon his past work experience, hard work ethics, quality craftsmanship, and excellent customer service, helped make it possible for Interwest Construction Inc to become a industry leader today.

With the bulk of ICI’s expertise being public utility construction, private commercial and site developments, and demolition, recently ICI has updated its workforce to include projects with environmental and hazardous waste cleanups, wastewater treatment plant construction and repair, as well as steel building construction.
